Based on the objectives and activity defined by the statute, the Mokranjac Foundation announced the third competition for a choral composition in 2016.
OBJECTIVE OF THE COMPETITION
The main objective of the competition is to encourage, reward and promote artistic creation in the field of choral composition as a part of the heritage of tradition Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac.
Based on the analysis and comparison of compositions submitted for the competition will be selected and awarded the best works that meet the requirements of the contracting authority in accordance with specified conditions. The Mokranjac Foundation will enable the capture and execution of selected compositions, which stimulates the concert presentation of contemporary domestic composers.

The task of the competition
The composition should be written for a capella choir relying on the Serbian folklore.
The duration of the composition to 6 minutes.
Competition conditions
• The competition is open to all citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
• Compositions sent to the competition must not be previously published or performed.
• Bidding composition should be written solely by computer orthography in one of the computer programs of notation.
• It is necessary to attach a separate sheet for the text of composition.
• Papers are signed code. Solution codes need to be attached to the composition in a sealed envelope, and authorship of proving an identical copy of the submitted work.
The duration of the competition and the way of work
• The date of announcement of the competition is 01.06.2016 year. The announcement shall be published in the media and on the website of the Mokranjac Foundation.
• The deadline for submission is 01.09.2016 year.
• Papers should be submitted in six copies by post to the address of the Mokranjac Foundation: Gracanicka 12, 11000 Belgrade, marked "Contest for a choral composition".
Works that are deviated from the rules of the competition will not be considered.

COMPETITION JURY
The jury of the competition consists of 5 members (president and 4 members), consisting of prominent artists who come from the ranks of composers and conductors. The President and members of the jury appointed by the Managing board of the Mokranjac Foundation.
The decision about the best compositions, the jury will be made within 15 days after the deadline for submission. The decision will be announced through the media and on the website of the Mokranjac Foundation www.mokranjcevazaduzbina.org.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANISERS AND THE AUTHOR AWARDED WORKS
Mokranjac Foundation will ensure performance and sound recordings first prize of composition by the end of 2016, as well as the publication of the winning composition.
FINAL REGULATIONS
The competition is organized with the best intentions to preserve the traditions and creativity of Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac and in accordance with the objectives of the Mokranjac Foundation defined by its Statute.
All participants agree to their participation requirements of the competition. All parties agree that there will be disputes.
The submitted materials will be returned.
